Ghostwritten Blogs can be Cool
Lots of buzz on a report that only 2 out of 10 senior business executives actually write their own blogs. Bloggers, not surprising, are all shocked and dismayed at this gross injustice and most unnatural act.
Bloggers tend to be extremely uptight and clueless when it comes to blogs, myself included sometimes!
Hey, it's a new medium, lighten up, grab a stiff drink if you need it, relax, and see where the blogosphere leads. Stop the silly moralistic judgements.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with an executive or anyone else who spends a few minutes discussing a topic with a ghostwriter who then drafts a post for their approval. NOTHING!
Speeches, public statements, and books are all ghostwritten and no one cares. Blogs are no different and certainly NOT sacrosanct - sorry fellow uptight bloggers!
It's the ghostwriters job to write, and the ghostwritees (is that a word?) responsibility to make sure those words convey their thoughts, experiences, feeling, etc. adequately.
To simply state "Ghostwritten Blogs are evil and a blight on the Blogosphere" as many have (I paraphrase) is simply silly.
Of course, ghostwritten blogs, just like ghostwritten books etc., can also be bad. Anything can be bad - reportedly even sex and beer sometimes!
