Fantastic SEO: One More Benefit of Business Blogging
From Easton Ellsworth, BusinessBlogWire, our final book winner, for submitting the following:
If you have a business and don't believe a blog can help you, listen to me for a minute.
I know I'm just a kid, but listen to me.
SEO = search engine optimization.
Search engines love blogs.
Blogs = great SEO.
I posted a review of Dell's one2one blog four days ago. Right now, if you go to Google.com and search for "dell one2one blog" without the quotation marks, the first search result will be a page at the actual one2one blog.
The second result will be my review. That's awesome SEO.
I spent nothing. All I did was write and hit publish. Of course I'm
helped by my blog's history (nine months of consistent posting) and
constant interlinking between my blog and more than 200 other blogs
(several dozen of which reside in the Know More Media network alongside
me), but a huge reason for my words appearing so high in those search
results is because I published them via a blog.
Now forget me. Think about your business. How much would you willing
to spend to get such great search engine placement - to get such great
SEO? Do you believe in the power of blogs to boost the visibility of
your business?
Moral: If the first thing you think of when you hear the word "blog" is "online personal journal," you don't get it.
Maybe I should write a book. Don't You Get It? How A Blog Could Help Your Business. And maybe it would simply consist of a list of about 10,000 ways that a corporate blog could help your business.
Then again, why don't I just post the same info, piece by piece, to my blog about business blogging?
