BlogWorld unites disparate Blogospheres
There are multiple disparate Blogspheres. For example, I haven't read any godblogs or knittingblogs lately, and there are a lot of both. No one reads technical blogs except for the technical. And we won't even mention Chinese or Japanese language blogs.
According to Paul Chaney, Rick Calvert, a tradeshow producer and political blogger
"is putting together what may be the largest gathering of bloggers at any one place (in physical space). It’s a conference/tradeshow called BlogWorld. It’s being held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, November 8-9, 2007. By that time, blogging will be well-engrained enough in our culture that the show should deliver…and deliver to the tune of thousands of attendees. At least that’s Rick’s belief.
One of the things that differentiates this gathering from other blog conferences is that this is also going to be a major industry tradeshow. The floorplan has spaces for about 100 vendors. (Are there 100 blogging vendors?)"
Hmmm, a show that combines the (at least English) blogospheres. Interesting, and I think I'll pencil it in.
Thanks Paul for the heads-up! Paul is also the author of Realty Blogging

For the past 20 minutes or so I've been trying to track this item back to a statement or press release or something by Paul Calvert. So far it all seems mediated by Paul Chaney and now Frank Barnako. Is there an official statement somewhere that you know of?
