Open Rant to my Publisher
Jennifer,
Copies have not been sent to the media list yet?? and WNOETYA Blogging and Podcasting has been out OVER A MONTH!
I'm getting complaints from the media (Courtney's been wonderful in shipping a few emergency copies).
I'M HAVING A ^&@&&^!&!@^ TEMPER TANTRUM!
I had three media interviews today, I have two tomorrow and a radio
show Monday. I just had a multipage interview in Bearings Communicator
(about 10K subscribers). This great review on a high traffic site just showed up. I'm speaking at Maine 2.0 next week. I spoke at Caesar's Palace a few weeks ago.
I'm busting my butt, and the media list hasn't gotten their copies yet??
At least two journalists who acted like my best friends before won't return my calls or emails anymore - I think they're upset and think I dinged them off the media list. They gave the previous book Blogging for Business lots of national press last time.
ANNNHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That doesn't feel better. If we had done galleys it might be different (hmmm, would have been swell if someone had told me about the no galleys decision).
What else can I complain about:
- I should be two inches taller
- I should be two inches shorter when I fly
- I need a couple more million
OK, now I feel better.
PLEEEEEAAASSE do something about the media list
Thanks
Ted

Hi Phil,
I actually like mu publisher quite a bit. Yeah, I wish they hadn't fired my Acquisitions Editor mid-book ("let go" was the term), I wish this and that, but in general, I must say I'm pleased. I hope they are as pleased with me too!

Ted,
I feel your pain. My publisher did the same to me last year when I was featured on one of Al Roker's Food TV Christmas specials.
My book was never sent ahead of time. It was quite embarrassing, but I made up for it by being a great guest.
