Link and they will come!
Write it and they will come doesn't work.
Link and they will come does. Huhhhhh???
If no one finds out your blog, how will they visit it? Several ways to make people aware of your blog, including simply telling them.
Guy Kawasaki for example emailed his closest 10,000 friends when he started blogging. Well, you and I don't have as many friends and don't you dare try spamming either.
You can however, link to other bloggers and they'll usually visit to check you out.
For example, today I checked Technorati.com and found there are a couple new links to my blog, Chaos Magnet and Capital PR (thanks for the links!).
No surprise that I immediately visited those blogs. And I like them too.
Bottom line? Link to blogs you like. They may visit you in return and also decide they like your blog.
Effective Internet Presence: Now required for success in business and life

Hi Alberta,
I don't explicitly ask other bloggers to link, although some bloggers politely (and hopefully in a personal fashion, e.g. using your name)suggest a link exchange.
Simple by leaving a comment however, I've found you and visited your blog, and others may by clicking on your name as well.
I like your artwork BTW.
