Blog Search -- I should have it
Terry Kineda writes, "Great blog, but I was trying to search for specific info on your site but there's no search?"
You're right Terry, a blog search feature is very helpful to visitors. I SHOULD have blog search and will add it soon.
Many blog platform have a built in blog search feature that's easy to implement. TypePad, which I'm using here, doesn't have a built in blog search feature, so I'm going to implement Google Search on this blog. I remember seeing something in help about it, and it should be relatively straightforward.
I'm going to try and do it now, but as I have no power (freak snowstorm) and limited Internet, it may have to wait a day or two!

Great idea Ted! That certainly would help make your blog even greater. You may want to just use the TypePad multi-search engine search so you don't have to try too hard to make this work :)

Hi Phil, just added Google search.
The problem with Google search is it only searches what it has in the Google database, but Google indexes my posts close to immediately so no problem here.

good to have the Google search on your blog. When you are visiting less advanced blogs, remember that you can use google for a specific site by using google with a "site:" specification, as in:

Good point Bill, although most people don't know or use that feature of Google. I actually once took (and may teach) a class specifically on Google called "Google hacking" from the SANS Institute.
The number of things you can do with Google is simple amazing.
