TypePad vs WordPress

My two favorite blogging platforms are:

TypePad (used here):

Inexpensive (free trial via this link), no software to download, install, update etc. I believe this is the best choice for most people.

WordPress.org

Free, sort of. You need to buy Web hosting (I use Bluehost), a Domain Name (I use Dotster), download, install, and keep software updated. WordPress.org is awesome, but not for most folks who aren't either somewhat comfortable.

WordPress people will complain about this, as they have near religious fervor when it comes to WordPress -- come on folks, it's great but not that good.

I don't particularly like WordPress.com or Blogger.com for business blogs.

Here is the Blog Squad's take on it. We pretty much agree.

Thanks for your comments --- yeah, I agree, "I'd rather get down to creating content NOT screwing around with plugins, seo optimization and errors."

I already spend enough time on tech details

For blog word press platform is good one.Because it has seo friendly plug ins.

seo optimization company

Both of them are good but for me, typepad is much better against wordpress.

Hi,
I would most definitely go with Typepad, especially for a professional blog like mine. So much more customization possible than with Wordpress.

SEO blog

I would say that TypePad is easier to use than wordprocess. I think it's one of the easier user-interfaces I've used.

Hmmm, I think the lack of interest is very telling. Wordpress is the leader now, though I remember good things from Movable Type.

Great article.I would most definitely go with Typepad, especially for a professional blog like mine...

affordable seo services

Typepad is the best blogging platform rather than wordpress.

Just going over old comments...funny how opinions change. A year ago I said I would go for Typepad. Now, however, I'm with WordPress, and it's going to take some hard convincing to bring me back to TypePad. Both platform have advantages and disadvantages, but for what I want to achieve, WordPress is the better platform.
